"...unable to follow the logic of a short, straightforward sentence, in his or her own language." - Hmmm. Writing properly is a skill. We can't expect anyone to write without flaws. I am an essay writer and even if I've been doing this essay writing activity for a long time now, there are times when I stop and see some mistakes.

Well I think you've done admirably well to fix the problems. These types of things are so frustrating, particularly when you get such generic error messages.

Take 30 seconds and pat yourself on the back - you did it and fixed it yourself. Well done.

I so agree! Mind blowing that she refuses to give a profuse apology at the very least. I don't see how anyone could support or justify this slur.

I read this in a BBC article and it speaks for me:

"Use of the term 'golliwog' is completely unacceptable. The fact that Carol Thatcher doesn't know the word is offensive is worrying. Whether it is said off air or not doesn't really matter."

It reminds me of the far right in America, who call Obama "the magic negro" or major papers in the southern U.S. that did not have his winning the election in their headlines or even on their front page, the day after the election!

It is truly hard to believe this kind of attitude is still common in multi-cultural Britain and multi-cultural USA. Sad and a little scary.

A very witty remark. Unfortunately, more and more often hurry and/or superficiality end up leading to such puzzling results... :-/
