And Translators Hate Machine Translation…
Just adding my contribution to this poem by Seth Godin’s post here.
‘Technology doesn’t care who you hate,’ as long as you are willing to buy it.
But I don’t hate machine translation, I just think it’s not delivering, and I have an unbelievable amount of post-editing to do. Most of the times, I’m better off doing the job myself.
I’m only dreaming of an MT system that would allow me to just push a button and live for free under the Tropics, for the rest of my life. Wouldn’t that be great, marketingwise?
That’s the power of technology for me.
